It sounded like a familiar moonlight tale, but it wasn’t. In what first seemed like a daydream, the mother of five from the Umuahia community in Abia State received a life-changing boost out of poverty and years of painful existence.
A new lease of life was opened when a kind-hearted fashion designer, Lynda Iroegbu, set up a business for her with a large container and supplies, ushering in another burst of relief for a troubled mother who had been without help for decades. years.

It was there that she met Ugwuegbu whom she described as “a very discouraged woman” having lost two of her children and was left with three.
“I learned that she was unemployed with no skills or a lucrative business, the small business she managed to start was threatened and ultimately frustrated by thugs. She was totally hopeless. I did more research and got more evidence of hardship so I decided to start a legit business for him,” Iroegbu said.

It was from this moment that the young fashion entrepreneur thought about how to save the mother of five from her predicament. With little profit from her personal business Lyn Signature, a fast-growing fashion brand, she brought Ugwuegbu’s life back from the abyss of shame to the height of glory.
During his moves between December 2021 and February 2022, Iroegbu said:
“I did this to encourage youth empowerment and especially to inspire women to also empower other women in need. I started the project in December 2021 when I met her, then I wrapped up and pitched the whole thing to him this month, February 2022. Took me two months to plan and fund it.”
When asked why she chose Valentine’s Day – a day synonymous with sharing and showing love and affection – Iroegbu told this reporter that she just wanted to “change the usual narrative and strongly encourage love, positivity and selfless service. collectively help reduce crime and defeat other social vices.”

Iroegbu told this reporter that former businesses in Ugwuegbu had suffered “physical displacement in addition to constant threats and robberies by thugs”.
She further revealed:
“I thought she needed not just a sustainable business, but a business that she could do in a safe place without the financial burden of rent. That’s how the idea of building a solid container store was also born and i made sure it became a harsh reality by loading the store with half bags of fast moving staples including garri, rice, beans, etc

Lynda found her favor wasn’t enough if she didn’t secure the future of the wife and her amazing children together. The young woman said she took the children of Ugwuegbu to school, a project to which she was committed without limit.
“I am sponsoring his two children and other children from the slums to go back to school. These are projects I am involved in and there is no end in sight,” a- she pointed out.
On Sunday, February 20, Lynda told this reporter that she would present the essentials of the school and also pay school fees for Ugwuegbu’s sons the next day, Monday, February 21.
